The Federal Government has launched the online registration portal for Phase III of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI), with plans to train 26,961 unemployed Nigerians in 70 demand-driven skills across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The government also announced plans to provide 3,405 outstanding graduate trainees with starter packs and work tools upon completing the programme, as part of efforts to promote employment, entrepreneurship and economic empowerment.
The said the initiative was designed to reduce unemployment by equipping Nigerians with practical skills that match labour market needs.
According to him, beneficiary selection will follow a ward-to-ward approach to ensure equitable participation across communities nationwide.
